Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kuia Trust 2022 Trustee Election
Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kuia Trust (the Trust) is the PSGE entity created from the Treaty of Waitangi Settlement for Ngāti Kuia. The Trust is governed by seven Trustees, two of whom must retire by rotation later this year and one of whom has retired early.
Nominations are now called to fill the pending three vacancies:
- The two highest polling candidates will hold office for three-year terms
- The third highest polling candidate will hold office for one year, being the remaining term of office of the retiring trustee.
- The Trust Deed allows a maximum of two trustees at any time to reside outside Te Tauihu (the area within the boundaries of the Marlborough and Tasman District Councils and the Nelson City Council). To satisfy that requirement at least two of the successful candidates at this election must reside within Te Tauihu.
- Nominations must be made on the official nomination form which can be obtained by phoning the election helpline 0800 666 034 or emailing iro@electionz.com.
Nominations close: 5pm on Wednesday, 5 October 2022
In the event that more than three valid nominations are received, an election will be held amongst registered adult members of the Trust by postal, internet and ballot box voting at the AGM.

Te Wāhi: Te Hora Marae, Te Hora Pa Road, Canvastown, Marlborough
Should any significant event prevent the hui from taking place at Te Hora Marae, the Trustees advise that the alternate venue will be the Nelson Office.
As much notice as possible will be given for any venue change.
Streaming of the AGM will be available for whānau residing outside of Te Tauihu.
