Whānau Ora Navigators assist, facilitate, and mentor whānau in identifying aspirations and using a variety of strategies to support them in reaching their objectives. They also navigate services and opportunities around whānau, empowering them to be more self-managing and responsible for their economic, cultural, and social development and well-being.

He Maunga Pakohe Rautaki Hauora

This research project was born from the voices of Ngāti Kuia whānau, calling for a deeper understanding of the health and well-being challenges facing our people. Grounded in kaupapa Māori and driven by whānau experiences, this report explores the historical and social factors that have shaped Ngāti Kuia hauora today. By capturing pūrākau (stories) and insights from whānau, the research provides a foundation for iwi-led strategies that empower our people to thrive.
